Israel, carrying out a massive campaign against Hezbollah, shook Lebanon’s capital Beirut with continuous drone attacks in the early hours of Monday. The Israeli army targeted a building in the city with a drone attack.
At least 4 people were killed in the attack, including three top leaders of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), which is actively fighting against Israel. Israel continues to launch airstrikes which it claims are Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, which claimed the lives of over 100 people and wounded over 350 others Sunday.
The Israeli army has been targeting residential areas of Beirut since Sunday. According to the media reports, the PFLP has issued a statement saying that its three top leaders were killed in an Israeli attack on a building in Beirut’s Kola district in the middle of the night.

Earlier it was suspected that this attack was carried out by another terrorist organization Al Jama al Islamia (Islamic Group), but the organization has denied it.
On the other hand, the Israeli army has not commented on these attacks. Israel is continuously intensifying its campaign against Iran-backed armed organizations. On Sunday, Israel attacked Hezbollah bases in Lebanon and killed 45 fighters, including a senior Hezbollah commander. This leader named Nabil Kaouk was the deputy head of Hezbollah’s central committee. Along with this, dozens of Israeli planes bombed the bases of Houthi rebels in Yemen.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the killing of top Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah during a targeted airstrike in Beirut. The IDF has eliminated the top command of the Iranian-backed group. The attack was carried out by Israeli Air Force (IAF) fighter jets on Hezbollah’s central headquarters. The headquarters was reportedly underground under a residential building in the Dahieh area.
Hezbollah’s southern front commander Ali Karki was also killed in the attack. In a post on social media platform X, the IDF said, “Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorize the world. The Israeli army confirmed that Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of the Hezbollah terrorist organization and one of its founders, was killed along with Hezbollah’s southern front commander Ali Karki and additional Hezbollah commanders.”
