Actor Govinda was taken to a hospital in the early morning after shooting himself accidentally in the leg due to a misfire from his own licensed revolver. Notably, the incident happened at approximately 4:45 AM while he was checking the weapon before heading out. According to the media reports, the bullet struck his knee, prompting immediate medical attention at CritiCare Hospital in Mumbai. However, Govinda’s family and team have not released an official statement about his condition.
According to the media reports, the actor was supposed to take an early morning flight to Kolkata. Govinda was admitted to the hospital at 5.15 AM, and he is now reported to be out of danger. The police have reached at the scene to assess the situation, and they have taken Govinda’s revolver into custody.
Currently, the case is under investigation. Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha updated on the actor’s health and said, ‘Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was getting ready to leave for Kolkata. He was keeping his licensed revolver in the case when it fell from his hand and a bullet got fired which hit his leg. The doctor has removed the bullet and his condition is fine. He is in the hospital right now’. Govinda is known for delivering comedy blockbusters such as Coolie No. 1, Haseena Maan Jaayegi, Swarg, Saajan Chale Sasural, Raja Babu, Rajaji, Partner, and others. Govinda’s recent outing on the big screen was in the 2019 film Rangeela Raja, directed by Pahlaj Nihalani.
