Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri will be back with another iconic film ‘The Delhi Files’ after the landmark film ‘The Kashmir Files’. However, Vivek Agnihotri has decided to release the film in two parts. The first part of the film will release on August 15, 2025.
Agnihotri said, ‘After years of research, the story of #TheDelhiFiles is too powerful for one part. We’re excited to bring you The Bengal Chapter – the first of two parts, unveiling a significant chapter in our history’.
Vivek Agnihotri has been known for directing films such as ‘The Tashkent Files’, ‘The Kashmir Files’ ,and ‘The Vaccine War’ in the past. He is set to hit the silver screen with ‘The Delhi Files’. However, the poster of the film released on October 3 by Vivek Agnihotri featured a silhouette of a child raising its hand towards the national emblem shown in the background.
Earlier, ‘The Kashmir Files’, has been awarded as the ‘Best Film on Human Rights’ by the LIFFT India Awards 2022. Lift India announced the awards for theatre, performance art, literature, feature film, animated film and other categories for the year 2022 on December 25, and Kashmir Files has been selected for the award of Best Feature Film on Human Rights. The award for the Kashmir Files comes following the film was awarded ‘the Golden Film of Indian Cinema’ at the Indian Television Awards (ITA).
