On the anniversary of the Israel-Hamas war, the Israeli army responded to Hezbollah’s 130 rocket attacks. Over 100 fighter jets of the Israeli army bombed about 120 sites in Lebanon.
These planes dropped bombs for an hour and the IDF issued a warning for Lebanese citizens. Lebanese citizens were asked to stay on the beach or on boats south of the Awali River until further notice. The IDF announced a new closed military zone in northern Israel.
This is the fourth closed military zone since the Israeli ground operation started in Benan, which stretches eastward from the Mediterranean Sea. The IDF said in a statement, ‘Our aircraft targeted and attacked various units of Hezbollah, including regional units of the Southern Front, forces, missile and rocket forces and intelligence units.’
Hamas fired rockets targeting memorial events organized in Israel to mourn the October 7 attacks and vowed to continue the war against Israel. Despite the intensification of Israeli military operations, Hezbollah fired more than 130 rockets throughout the day on Monday.
However, just after a day Israel’s targeted attack on Hashem Safieddine, to-be Hezbollah Chief following the elimination of Hassan Nasrallah, Ibrahim Amin Al-Sayyed has been appointed as the new Hezbollah Secretary Genera, according to the media reports. However, Ibrahim Amin Al-Sayyed has been appointed as the new Hezbollah leader after yesterday’s Israeli assassination of Hashem Safieddine.
The report has not yet been confirmed by the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah. There is no confirmation about whether the to-be Hezbollah Chief, Hassan Safieddine has been killed or not, Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) launched a targeted strike on Safieddine
