RSS or Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh was founded in Nagpur in the year 1925 on the day of Vijayadashami. RSS was founded by Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar. RSS celebrates its foundation day every year on the day of Vijayadashami. This is why it is said that RSS and Vijayadashami have a deep relationship.
The Sangh sees Vijayadashami as a symbol of power and organization. On this day, ‘Path Sanchalan’ is done by the volunteers of the Sangh and different programs are also organized. On Vijayadashami, the Sarsanghchalak (RSS chief) gives an annual address.
During this, he tells about the achievements, challenges and future plans of the Sangh. This day is also an opportunity to set new energy and direction for the organization. According to the ideology of the Sangh, Vijayadashami is a symbol of moral and cultural power.
It inspires contribution to country building. Vijayadashami is also known as Dussehra. It is celebrated as a symbol of victory of good over evil. On this day, after the worship of Goddess Durga, Shastra Puja is performed, which has special significance. Shastra Puja means purifying your weapons, such as sword, shield, and other weapons and making them powerful. Shastra Puja on Vijayadashami gives the message of spreading positivity and power in the society.
