Once again, the Waqf Board finds itself at the center of controversy, this time following AIUDF Chief Badruddin Ajmal’s outlandish claim that the Parliament building and surrounding areas in Delhi were built on Waqf property. Ajmal’s provocative remarks have sparked widespread backlash, with Union Minister Kiren Rijiju pointing out that while India has one of the largest Waqf properties globally, they should be utilized for the welfare of the Muslim community, particularly women and children, rather than making such baseless claims.
