In honour of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Government of India has designated October 31, 2024 as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. The University Grants Commission has taken the initiative wherein it has request the Higher Educational Institutions (HEI) to celebrate Rashtriya Ekta Diwas to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
By participating in this event, these institutions can demonstrate their dedication to promoting unity and integrity, helping to protect the nation against any challenges it may face. Run for Unity: To spread the message of national unity, a ‘Run for Unity’ event that can be organized at suitable locations. This initiative aims to involve individuals from all walks of life, fostering a sense of community and collective responsibility toward national unity.
HEIs are also encouraged to document and share their activities related to Rashtriya Ekta Diwas.
