Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a visit to Gujarat on October 30-31. During this, he will inaugurate various projects worth more than Rs 280 crore and participate in the National Unity Day celebrations.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) issued a statement on Tuesday saying that the Prime Minister will visit Ekta Nagar in Kevadia on October 30 and will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various infrastructure and development projects worth more than Rs 280 crore in Ekta Nagar at around 5:30 pm.
At around 6 pm, the Prime Minister will address the officer trainees of the 99th Common Foundation Course on the eve of National Unity Day. The theme of this year’s program is Roadmap for a Self-reliant and Developed India. The 99th Common Foundation Course-Aarambh 6.0- includes 653 officer trainees from 16 civil services of India and 3 civil services of Bhutan.
According to the media reports, on October 31 at around 7:15 am, the Prime Minister will pay floral tribute to the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Statue of Unity, followed by National Unity Day celebrations. He will administer the Unity Day oath and witness the Unity Day parade which will include 16 marching contingents of 9 states and 1 Union Territory Police, 4 Central Armed Police Forces, NCC and a marching band. Special attractions include the Hell March contingent of the NSG, daring performances by women and men bikers of the BSF and CRPF, a show on a combination of Indian martial arts by the BSF, pipe band show by school children, ‘Surya Kiran’ flypast by the Indian Air Force, etc.
