Indian Railways has decided to run festival special trains for the convenience of passengers during Chhath festival. Northern Railways will operate 71 special trains for passengers of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar from today. Out of these, 41 special trains will depart from major stations of Delhi.
According to the Northern Railways, out of the 41 special trains departing from major stations of Delhi, the maximum of 14 trains will depart from New Delhi. Apart from this, 12 trains will depart from Anand Vihar Railway Station, eight from Delhi Junction, six from Hazrat Nizamuddin and one from Delhi Cantonment.
Among the 14 trains departing from New Delhi, the major ones are – train number 04070 will depart from New Delhi at 12.20 pm and will reach Rajgir at 9 pm. Train number 04054 will depart from New Delhi at 2:20 pm and will reach Barauni Junction at 11 pm. Train number 02248 will depart from New Delhi at 0825 and reach Patna Junction at 8:30. Train number 04036 will depart from New Delhi at 12 and reach Bhagalpur Junction at 10. Train number 02564 will depart from New Delhi at 17:55 and reach Barauni Junction at 15:10. Train number 02570 will depart from New Delhi at 12:15 and reach Darbhanga Junction at 10.
Among the 12 trains running from Anand Vihar, the major ones are- Train number 04032 will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal at 5:15 and reach Saharsa Junction at 10:30. Train number 04044 will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal at 23.15 and reach Gorakhpur Junction at 14.00. Train no 03576 will leave Anand Vihar Terminal at 10:15 hrs and reach Asansol Junction at 10:20 hrs. Train no 05220 will leave Anand Vihar Terminal at 8 hrs and reach Muzaffarpur Junction at 00:45 hrs.
Train no 04080 will leave Delhi Junction at 19:30 hrs and reach Varanasi Junction at 9:45 hrs. Train no 02418 will leave Delhi Junction at 09:30 hrs and reach Prayagraj Junction at 19:45 hrs. Train no 04034 will leave Delhi Junction at 23:45 hrs and reach Jaynagar at 23:00 hrs.
