Vladimir Putin, Russian President is thankful to the Prime Minister Modi for giving ideas to resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict, ongoing for nearly three years. Putin was asked about PM Modi’s previous remark at an event that “this should not be an era of war,” to which he responded, “As for solving the most acute crisis, we are very thankful and have great respect for the ideas of His Excellency Prime Minister Modi.”
Putin also shared that PM Modi has expressed his concerns various times about the ongoing conflict and has put forward ideas to help settle the issue. He added, “He expressed his concerns about conflicts in Ukraine as well and proposed his ideas on how to settle the conflicts.”
With the strong India-Russia relationship in mind, Putin acknowledged, “We have thought about those ideas and are thankful for his intervention.” Earlier, PM Modi was invited by Putin to attend the BRICS Summit in Kazan, where they held talks, with the Russia-Ukraine war being a central topic.
PM Modi said, “We are in constant touch on the issue of the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.” Expressing India’s commitment to peace, Modi told President Putin, “We fully support the early return of peace and stability.” Emphasizing humanity, he also said, “All our efforts give priority to humanity; India is ready to provide all possible cooperation in times to come.”
