Aam Aadmi Party has suffered a major setback before the assembly elections in Delhi as there is a trend of leaders joining other parties in AAP. On Monday, former councilor Ram Narayan Bhardwaj along with his son Pradeep Bhardwaj has joined hands with BJP in the presence of BJP President Virendra Sachdeva and MP Yogendra Chandolia.
On this occasion, BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said that PM Modi is continuously working to make India a developed country, influenced by which many leaders of other parties are joining BJP. Sachdeva said, ‘BJP will get more strength in outer Delhi with Bhardwaj joining the party’. Ram Narayan Bhardwaj said that, ‘Only former CM Arvind Kejriwal rules in AAP and no other person has the right to speak there. I used to feel suffocated in AA as there is no internal democracy in AAP. Influenced by the policies of PM Modi, I have decided to join BJP along with my supporters’.
Earlier, Kiran Choudhry and her daughter Shruti Choudhry, along with their supporters, have joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after resigning from the Congress. The event took place at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi and was attended by senior party leaders including Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.
Kiran Choudhry, who represents Tosham constituency in Bhiwani district as a Congress MLA, cited issues within the Haryana Congress as the primary reason for leaving the party. She expressed discontent with the party’s functioning, alleging that it had become focused on individual leadership rather than collective growth. Her resignation from the Congress came a day before joining the BJP, marking a significant shift in her political allegiance
