Naik Jadunath Singh, born on November 21, 1916, in Uttar Pradesh, was awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his exceptional bravery during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1947-48. Serving in the Naushera sector of Jammu and Kashmir, he led a small contingent against a large enemy force. On February 6, 1948, during a fierce attack on Naushera, Singh and his comrades repelled multiple enemy assaults.
