The violence that took place during the Sambhal Jama Masjid incident shocked the entire country, while now many shocking facts have come to light in the FIR registered in this case, which are blowing everyone’s senses. According to the FIR registered, on the day of violence, a crowd gathered at Nakhasa intersection, which included about 150-200 people, attacked the police.
Government property was damaged in this and bricks, stones and sticks were used with the intention of killing the policemen. The copy of the FIR which has come out mentions that SP MP Ziaur Rahman Barq incited the crowd with the intention of taking political advantage. He went to Jama Masjid without permission and worked to spoil the communal atmosphere of the area. It is recorded in the FIR that as per the court order, the Jama Masjid of Sambhal was being surveyed for the second time on November 24, meanwhile a crowd of people started gathering there, the police tried to pacify the crowd but no solution could be found.
The violent mob had stopped the survey of the mosque. On Sunday morning, the mob suddenly started pelting stones at the police, firing was also done on the police. The miscreants tried to loot the 9 mm pistol of Sub-Inspector Sanjeev Kumar and also looted black cartridges and tear gas shells along with rubber bullets.
It has been mentioned in the FIR that the SP MLA’s son Suhail Iqbal was also present in the crowd, who instigated the mob. He said that we are with you and will not let anything happen, fulfill your plans. The mob became violent and started attacking.
Suhail Iqbal is accused of instigating the mob present there. Along with this, it is recorded in the FIR that shouts came from the crowd that snatch the weapons of the policemen, set them on fire and kill them, no one should be able to escape. We will not allow any survey to be done in this mosque of ours.
The police has intensified the investigation of this case, the accused are being traced and arrested. Along with this, the investigation of the reasons of this violence and the people involved in it is also going on by connecting every link of the case. The District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police have visited the spot and appealed to everyone to maintain peace.
