Analysts who were not quick to react after Foreign Minister S Jaishankar’s big statement on India China ties can now pat themselves on the back. As China once again fell back to its long-standing habit of occupying neighboring lands and claiming them under its expansionist policies. After nearly five years of failing to achieve its objectives through confrontation in Ladakh, China resorted to its old tactics. While on one hand, China speaks of resolving border disputes with India, on the other, it has been constructing villages near the Doklam region.
