New Delhi, 24 December (H.S.): The recent decision by the Delhi High Court to ask the police to respond to Tahir Hussain’s bail plea in the IB staffer Ankit Sharma murder case has brought the much-debated case back into the spotlight. The former AAP councillor has been seeking bail since December 2020, and his latest plea challenges the trial court’s decision to reject his application.
In his plea, Hussain also highlights that the trial has already begun, with 20 out of 114 prosecution witnesses being examined. He further adds that he has been in jail for almost five years now, making it imperative for him to be granted bail.
