Dehradun, 28 December (HS): The land of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand trembled once again. Mild tremors of earthquake were felt near Chamoli town at 9:36 am on Saturday, due to which people came out of their houses in panic. However, it is a matter of relief that there is no news of any loss of life or property due to this earthquake. According to the report of National Seismological Center, Ministry of Earth, Government of India, New Delhi, the intensity of the earthquake was measured 2.4 on the Richter scale and its epicenter was at a depth of 5 km from the ground. District Disaster Management Officer NK Joshi said that there has been no damage due to the earthquake.

The Meteorological Center has issued an orange alert in the state for Saturday. This earthquake amid bad weather has further increased the concern of the people.
