New Delhi, 30 December (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed grief over the demise of former US President Jimmy Carter and recalled his contribution in promoting strong relations between India and America.
In a post on Twitter, Prime Minister Modi said, “Deeply saddened by the demise of former US President Jimmy Carter. He was a great visionary statesman, he worked tirelessly for global peace and harmony. His contribution in promoting strong relations between India and America has left a lasting legacy. My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and the people of America.”
Former US President Jimmy Carter died on Sunday in Georgia. He was 100 years old.
