Jaipur, 06 Jan (HS): Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma signed two Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bank of Baroda and Bank of Maharashtra and assured the government’s association in implementing its schemes through these banks aimed towards a Developed Rajasthan by 2047. Through the five-year plan, the Government plans to take Rajasthan’s economy to 350 billion dollars by improving basic infrastructure
and achieving development.
Sharma said as per the MoU Bank of Baroda will extend a loan of Rs 20,000 crores every year till March 31, 2030. Similarly Bank of Maharashtra will disburse loans of Rs 10,000 crores. The loans will be extended for developmental projects under various government schemes including power, road, drinking water and cleanliness. The banks should ensure that the common people should derive benefits from the government schemes.
Sharma said that the government plans to improve electricity generation up to 125 GW by 2029-2030; building road network of 53,000 kilometers in five years by spending Rs 60,000 crores. He also said that during the Rising Rajasthan Global Summit. MoUs of Rs 35 lakh crores were signed for development of the state.
