Road Accident In Kaliabar, 3 Workers Killed, 15 Seriously Injured

Nagon (Assam), 11 January (HS): A tragic road accident took place in the Amani area of Kaliabor in Nagon district on Friday night. Three workers killed on the spot in this accident. According to the information, the accident occurred due to the collision between a Tata mobile vehicle carrying workers and a truck.

15 workers travelling in a pickup van were seriously injured in the accident. The injured were referred to Kaliabor Subdivision Civil Hospital, Samaguri, and Tezpur.

According to the incident, 18 workers travelling in a pickup van (AS-02-BC-8930) were returning to Nagon after construction work. At the same time, a speeding truck (AS-07-BC-3450) hit the van from behind, causing the van to overturn on the side of the road.

Ziaru Islam, Asmad Ali and Kibiya Alam killed on the spot in this accident. All the deceased labourers were residents of Mowamari area of Samguri. This accident has caused a wave of mourning in the Mowamari area.
