New Delhi, January 21 (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Amitabh Kant for writing a book on India’s G-20 presidency and summit, 2023, saying that he has given a clear vision on India’s efforts to pursue human-centric development in pursuit of a better planet.
G-20 Sherpa and former CEO of NITI Aayog Amitabh Kant met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and presented him his book ‘How India Scaled Mount G-20’. Amitabh Kant shared the pictures of the meeting on social media platform X and gave this information.
Amitabh Kant posted on X, “I am very proud to present my book ‘How India Scaled Mount G-20’ to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It was his progressive vision, global stature and inclusive leadership style that set both the agenda and vision for one of the most transformative chapters in India’s diplomatic history. His clear belief in the G20 India team enabled us to be bold and take risks through seemingly impossible negotiations. I thanked him for his belief and guidance as his G20 Sherpa.”
Responding to Amitabh Kant’s post, Prime Minister Modi wrote, “Your effort to write about India’s G20 presidency and the summit in 2023 is commendable, which gives a clear perspective on our efforts to pursue human-centred development in pursuit of a better planet.”
The 18th summit of the G20 was successfully held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi during September 9-10, 2023. The behind-the-scenes efforts that ensured the summit’s spectacular success have now been revealed in Sherpa Amitabh Kant’s new book, ‘How India Scaled Mount G20: The Inside Story of the G20 Presidency’.
Kant has revealed through his book that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the primary strategist. In the book, he has described the important conversation he had with Prime Minister Modi on September 9.
