NEW DELHI, 25 January (H.S.): At present, there is a Republic Day ceremonial excitement in the country. Rehearsals of the three wings of the Army are going on at the Kartavya Path of India Gate. While on the other hand, preparations are going on in full swing at Rashtrapati Bhavan to make the “At Home” programme. This time the “At Home” program to be held in Rashtrapati Bhavan is going to be very special. This program will be organized on the theme of Southern part of Indian culture.
From decorations to art, music and invitation cards, everywhere the imprint of South Indian touch is there. The invitation card for the “At Home” program of Rashtrapati Bhavan has been made in a special way. The invitation cards were sent to all the distinguished guests in a box along with gifts related to the art of four states of South India.
More than 20 disabled people have also been invited to the “At Home programme”, who have made special achievements. A special model of Rashtrapati Bhavan has been made for the visually impaired people. People with special abilities will be able to feel Rashtrapati Bhavan by touching it. Its objective is to make Rashtrapati Bhavan attractive to accessible for differently able persons.
Along with this, the seating arrangement for the “At Home program” has also been finalized. The seating positions of leaders like the President, Prime Minister, Chief Guest and leader of the Opposition Party, Rahul Gandhi have been decided. In the “At Home” programme, President Draupadi Murmu and the President of Indonesia will sit on two golden colored chairs. After this, as per the protocol, the Vice President will be seated on one side and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be seated on the other side. As per protocol, some guests will sit in the circle of the President. Guests from the President’s family will also be seated among them.
There is special seating arrangement for Rahul Gandhi and CM Atishi. On the other hand, chairs have been placed in a large circle for the members of the Council of Ministers and other special guests. Apart from the cabinet ministers, chairs have also been placed in the same circle for Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge as well as Delhi Chief Minister Atishi Marlena.
A glimpse of the rich heritage of South India: Music will be played in “At Home” program after decades. Music and musical instruments of South India will be played. With the arrival of the guests, artists from Karnataka will play the tunes and ragas of Carnatic music in front of the distinguished guests. Instead of flowers, the traditional art of Kolam has been used in the decoration. Kolam is made from rice flour and in South India, Kolam is made before doing any auspicious work. Apart from Kolam, lamps associated with South India have also been used. A big lamp will be installed in the middle of the main venue.
