Guwahati, 25 January (HS): Under the “National Integration Tour-2025” organized by Inter-State Student Life Philosophy (SEAL), 240 students of Northeast have set out on a 20-day tour of India. They are being welcomed traditionally and grandly by local students and citizens at various places across India. Thousands of students are welcoming the students of Northeast at the railway station with drums and flower showers.
Hundreds of students welcomed the representatives of Northeast in a grand manner at Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Railway Station in Varanasi. The entire railway station reverberated with drums and Vedic chanting. The workers welcomed the representatives of the Northeast with a shower of flowers and slogans like Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Vande Mataram, different languages, different costumes but still we have one country, be it Varanasi or Guwahati our country is our soil. At the same time, the representatives of the Northeast were given a historic welcome at the railway stations in Patna, Lucknow, Bhubaneswar, Gorakhpur, Jaisalmer and Kanpur.
This journey is going to run from 22 January to 13 February. In this journey, 240 students from the Northeast states have been taken on a tour of 32 cities in 20 states across the country in eight different groups.
Giving information, Bhagwat Singh Rajawat, Yatra Pramukh of Rashtriya Ekta Yatra-2025 and Organizing Secretary of Manipur State, said that a total of 117 students and 97 girls from 68 tribes from 79 educational institutions from 82 places in 64 districts of the Northeast, 16 group coordinators and 10 migrant workers from the Northeast have set out on this journey. All the eight groups have been named after the freedom fighters of the Northeast, so that people across the country can also know about the unknown fighters of the Northeast.
This group also includes students from institutions of national importance, central universities and other prestigious educational institutions of the Northeast. These students are visiting various historical places, educational institutions, scientific institutions, tourist places in all the states across the country and are also experiencing the culture and traditions of the place by staying in the homes of the local people.
This journey is a journey that strengthens the bond of unity of the country. In all the states, the general public is also welcoming these students with great enthusiasm. This is the true form of India’s basic mantra ‘Atithi Dev Bhava:’. Presentation of local dances and songs etc., cultural evenings and traditional programs are being organized to welcome the Yatra. Hospitality is being extended with traditional Indian musical instruments and flower showers. Many students told in their experience that they are feeling very excited and happy after seeing this cultural diversity of India. Students say that this journey has been imprinted in their minds for life. This journey will keep inspiring them throughout their life. By visiting various places and going first-hand, we also came to know that India is not weak because of its cultural diversity, but a strong nation. In fact, the feeling that India’s diversity is India’s biggest asset has become even stronger.
