New Delhi, January 27 (HS): Indian Space Research Institute (ISRO)’s GSLV-F15 is ready to fly in the sky with satellite NVS-2. NVS-2 satellite will be launched on January 29 at 6:23 pm. ISRO gave this information in an ex-post on Monday.
Earlier, ISRO said on Sunday that the integration of its rocket GSLV-F15 with satellite NVS-02 has been completed. This rocket, which has indigenous cryogenic stage, will be launched on January 29. Satellite NVS-02 will be on this rocket. This will be the 100th mission from Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota. Navigation with Indian Constellation is India’s independent regional navigation satellite system. Its objective is to provide accurate position, velocity and timing services to users in India and the area extending up to 1,500 km from Indian land.
GSLV-F12 successfully launched the NVS-01 satellite into Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO). The NVS-01 satellite has an indigenous atomic clock, which enhances the capabilities of Navigation with Indian Constellation (NAVIC). The NVS-02 mission is expected to continue this progress, further strengthening the NAVIC system with advanced features.
