Delhi, 30 January (H.S.): The case of deaths due to stampede in Prayagraj Maha Kumbh has reached the Supreme Court. Lawyer Vishal Tiwari has filed a petition demanding a status report on the stampede in Maha Kumbh and action against the officials responsible for the stampede.
The petition demands opening of Facilitation Centers of all the states in Prayagraj Kumbh Mela area, so that non-Hindi speaking people do not face any inconvenience.
Questioning the VIP movement in the petition, it has been demanded that VIP movement should be limited in such events, so that more and more space can be used for the common people. The petition demands installation of display boards in major languages of the country to avoid stampede in big religious events and to give correct information to the people, and to inform the states about their pilgrims through mobile, WhatsApp.
