On Saturday, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has started her eighth consecutive Union Budget 2025 presentation in the Lok Sabha at 11 am. Earlier in the day, Sitharaman visited President Droupadi Murmu for her nod on the Budget. The Union cabinet approved the Budget ahead of the speech in Parliament at 11 am today.

‘Budget Should Be Inclusive’ : DeepSeek AI’s first suggestion is that the Budget 2025 should focus on the needs of the poor, farmers, and the middle class. The AI also recommends increased government expenditure on healthcare and education, advocating for the strengthening of hospitals and schools in villages. Furthermore, DeepSeek AI suggested bolstering employment schemes like MNREGA to ensure ample job opportunities for all.

Emphasis on Infrastructure: DeepSeek AI emphasised that developing a robust Digital India is as significant as focusing on infrastructure development. It stressed the significance of internet connectivity reaching every village to bridge the digital divide effectively. Furthermore, DeepSeek AI advocated for the promotion of solar and wind energy to establish the country as a clean energy hub. It also highlighted the need to prioritise advancements in railways, highways, and airports to bolster the nation’s economic growth.

Focus on Small Businesses: DeepSeek AI stated that the real strength of the country are small businesses and start-ups and advocated for loans to be available at low interest rates so that small businesses can stand on their own feet. The hassle of tax should be minimised, so that doing business seems less complicated. DeepSeek AI added that the youth should receive training which would enable them to become job creators instead of job seekers.

Focus on Environment: DeepSeek AI further suggested that the Union Budget should not just focus on earning money, but also consider the environment. Electric vehicles should be encouraged to reduce dependence on petrol and diesel. Farmers should be encouraged to adopt organic farming practices to maintain soil health.

Simplicity in Tax Structure: It also urged that the tax structure should be designed in a way that “it takes less time to understand, more time to earn”. It advocated for a reduction in tax complexities, enabling individuals to pay taxes without hesitation. The AI believes there should be a simple and straightforward tax system. It suggests higher taxes on large industrialists to maintain a balanced national economy. Additionally, DeepSeek AI proposes tax exemptions for startups to encourage job creation through the establishment of new businesses.

‘Make in India’ Should Go Global: DeepSeek AI also said that for Aatmanirbhar Bharat to succeed, ‘Make in India’ needs global recognition. It argued that products manufactured in India should receive tax exemptions, encouraging domestic production over imports. Furthermore, it emphasised that fostering exports is crucial for the global popularity of Indian products.

Focus on Defence and Security: It recognised that the Budget is crucial not just for the economy but also the security of the country. It advocates for integrating new technologies within the defence sector, enabling India to achieve self-sufficiency in weapons manufacturing. Furthermore, DeepSeek AI stresses the importance of robust strategies to combat terrorism and cybercrime, ensuring the safety and resilience of a digitally empowered India.
