Union Budget 2025 Key Highlights:
India’s fastest-growing economy
The finance minister announced the Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhyan Krishi Yojana, under which 100 districts with low yields, modern cropping intensity, and below-average credit parameters will be covered. This will benefit 1.7 crore farmers. He said that under the reforms, reforms will be taken forward in tax, electricity, agriculture, mining, and the urban sector. The finance minister said that our goal under developed India is to eliminate poverty. This includes ensuring 100 percent quality education and affordable and comprehensive health care. The next five years will present unique opportunities to boost growth. The objective of this budget is to carry forward transformative reforms.
6-year program to become self-reliant in pulses: The finance minister said that the government will start a six-year program to become self-reliant in pulses; special focus will be on tur (arhar), urad, and lentils. A comprehensive program will be started to increase the production of vegetables and fruits and provide remunerative prices.
IIT Patna will expand: The capacity of IIT has increased. Additional infrastructure will be created in 5 IITs; IIT Patna will be expanded.
Big relief to farmers: The government has made a big announcement for Bihar. The finance minister has announced the formation of the Makhana Board for Bihar. While announcing the farmers, he said that the limit of the Kisan Credit Card is being increased to Rs 5 lakh. Big relief to farmers
