On Monday, Home Minister Amit Shah launched an attack on AAP convenor ‘Arvind Kejriwal’ during a mega rally in Jangpura. Shah took a sharp dig at Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, calling them ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ over alleged corruption and accused them of looting Delhi. Speaking at a rally in Jangpura, he accused AAP candidate Manish Sisodia of misleading voters and slammed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over the unfulfilled promise of cleaning the Yamuna.
Shah also accused Kejriwal of building a bungalow at the cost of taxpayers’ money. Speaking at a rally in Jangpura, he promised to open the ‘Sheesh Mahal’ for public viewing if the BJP comes to power. Shah alleged that Kejriwal was not satisfied with one house and spent ₹51,000 crore on a luxurious residence. “In 2013, Kejriwal used to say he would not take a house, car, or security after becoming CM. But he took a car, a bungalow, and was still not satisfied. So, he built the ‘Sheesh Mahal.’ This ₹51,000 crore belongs to the people of Delhi. I promise we will open it for public viewing,” he said.
He further called Manish Sisodia an expert in betrayal. Shah targeted Sisodia, who shifted from Patparganj to contest from Jangpura, saying, “Manish Sisodia has come here. You should ask him, what did he do that he had to leave Patparganj? He thinks he can make false promises here after deceiving the people of Patparganj. As Deputy CM, he did one thing—opened liquor shops near all temples, schools, and gurudwaras. He is the only Education Minister in the country who went to jail in the liquor scam.”
Meanwhile, Sisodia, the sitting MLA from Patparganj, is contesting from Jangpura against BJP’s Tarvinder Singh Marwah and Congress ’ Farhad Suri. Delhi will vote on February 5, and the results will be declared on February 8.
