Seven Rebels Arrested In Manipur, With weapons

Imphal, 04 February (HS): Manipur Police and security forces have arrested seven rebels of different outfit groups in separate operations. Weapons, explosives and vehicles have been recovered from them.

Police arrested five rebels of KCP (City Meitei) from Mantripukhri Thakurbari of Heingang police station area of Imphal East district. They have been identified as Laishram Bulu Singh (26), RK Nelson (19), Lairlerkpam Thoiba Singh (27), Kangujam Jebash Singh (28) and Boyamayum Jabirkhan (19). One 9 mm pistol (with 11 live cartridges), two 36 HE hand grenades, three mobile phones, one sling bag, ₹5700 cash and one four-wheeler were recovered from them.

In another operation, security forces arrested Khangembam Bipin Singh (50) of KCP (MC) Progressive outfit group from Sinjamei Thoibam Laikai under Sinjamei police station area of Imphal West district, who was involved in extortion. One two-wheeler, one mobile phone and one four-wheeler were recovered from him.

Besides, police arrested Sinam Yaima Meitei alias Chingakpa (45), an active outfit of Prepak (Pro) group from Yairipok Bazar under Yairipok police station area of Thoubal district. One mobile phone and one four-wheeler were recovered from him.
