Dehradun, 5 February (HS): Shooters from all over the country performed brilliantly in the shooting competitions of the 38th National Games being held at Trishul Shooting Range. The 10 meter air pistol women’s final and the 50 meter rifle 3 positions men’s category qualification round were the main attractions in the competitions held on Tuesday.
10 meter air pistol women’s final: Haryana’s Suruchi became champion
In this competition, Haryana’s Suruchi won the gold medal with a brilliant score of 245.7 points. Palak of her state won the silver medal with 243.6 points, while Simranpreet Kaur Brar of Punjab won the bronze medal with 218.8 points.
50 meter rifle 3 positions men’s category: These shooters reached the final
33 shooters participated in this competition, out of which the top eight players made it to the final. Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar of Madhya Pradesh secured the first position in the qualification round with 598 points. Apart from him, Chain Singh (594), Neeraj Kumar (591), Nishan Budha (589) of Services, Swapnil Suresh Kusale (588) of Maharashtra, Akhil Sheoran (587) of Uttar Pradesh, Goldie Gurjar (587) of Madhya Pradesh and Ganga Singh (587) of Services also managed to reach the finals.
The final match will be held tomorrow
The final match of the 50 meter rifle 3 positions men’s category will be played on Wednesday, where the top eight shooters will compete fiercely for the medals. This performance of the shooters in the 38th National Games is a reflection of their hard work and talent.
