Bhubaneswar, 5 February (H.S.): In preparation for the India vs England ODI match on February 9 at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, the Twin City Commissionerate Police has implemented extensive security measures. Commissioner of Police S. Dev Datta Singh announced that a total of 50 platoons of security forces will be deployed for the event.
Singh reviewed the security arrangements in detail during a meeting at the Police Seva Bhawan. Senior police officers will monitor the situation continuously to ensure strict security throughout the match. A specific route plan has also been established for the movement of players and match officials.
The meeting included senior police officers, officials from the Odisha Cricket Association, AAI, CISF, and other key stakeholders involved in the event.
Players from both teams are expected to arrive in Bhubaneswar on February 7, where they will be accommodated at the Mayfair Hotel. On February 8, both teams will head to Barabati Stadium for a practice session ahead of the second ODI on February 9.
