Dehradun, 7 February (HS): Karnataka’s supremacy continues in the 38th National Games. The state has performed remarkably in many events and has secured a total of 56 medals including 30 gold, 11 silver and 15 bronze and has remained at the top of the medal tally.
The Services Sports Control Board is followed by the Services Sports Control Board in second place with a total of 52 medals including 28 gold, 12 silver and 12 bronze. Their dominance in various sports categories has kept them in a close contest for the top spot.
Maharashtra is currently in third place with an impressive total of 88 medals including 19 gold, 36 silver and 33 bronze, making them a strong contender with their consistent performance.
Madhya Pradesh has also performed commendably and has secured a total of 36 medals with 18 gold, 8 silver and 10 bronze. Meanwhile, Haryana has put up a strong challenge, finishing fifth with 55 medals including 13 gold, 20 silver and 22 bronze, reinforcing their reputation as a powerhouse in multiple sporting disciplines.
Other states that put up impressive performances include Tamil Nadu (47 medals), Manipur and Delhi (29 medals each), and Kerala (24 medals). Hosts Uttarakhand managed to bag 39 medals with 8 gold. However, the competition remains stiff, with athletes pushing the limits of human endurance to excel in their events.
With many events still to be held, the rankings may see further changes in the future. The excitement is high among both athletes and sports lovers and the 38th National Games remained a symbol of sportsmanship and excellence in Indian sports.
