On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, currently attended the AI Summit in France. PM Modi addressed one of the most pressing questions surrounding the increase of Artificial Intelligence i.e Can AI replace human jobs? Speaking at the summit, PM Modi reassured that history has shown technology does not eliminate work, but rather transforms it.
PM Modi said, “History has shown that work does not disappear due to technology”. He emphasized the positive impact of AI on several sectors, including education and agriculture, and its capacity to accelerate the journey toward sustainable energy goals. The Prime Minister is in France for a three-day visit, where he co-chaired the AI Action Summit with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris. In addition to the summit, PM Modi will hold bilateral talks with Macron and engage with business leaders.

Upon his arrival in Paris, PM Modi was warmly welcomed by the Indian diaspora. Despite the cold weather, the Indian community turned out in full force to greet the Prime Minister. “A memorable welcome in Paris! The cold weather didn’t deter the Indian community from showing their affection this evening. Grateful to our diaspora and proud of them for their accomplishments,” he remarked on X.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged investors to invest in India’s energy sector, stating that the country offers many chances in view of its renewable energy goals in the next five years. While talking about the target of having 500 GW of renewable energy, 5 million green hydrogen output by 2030 and the launch of fresh bidding rounds for oil and gas assets, PM Modi said “There are possibilities of new investments and I hope that you explore all possibilities in India”.
