On his second day in France, PM Modi met Vance, who was visiting the country. He gifted a wooden railway toy set to Vivek Vance and a jigsaw puzzle showing Indian folk paintings to Ewan Blaine Vance.
The wooden railway toy is considered a timeless classic that blends nostalgia with sustainability, according to the media reports. Officials said, “Crafted from natural wood and painted with eco-friendly vegetable dyes, it ensures both child safety and environmental consciousness.” The jigsaw puzzle gifted by PM Modi celebrates India’s rich artistic heritage, highlighting several folk painting styles, including Kalighat pat painting from West Bengal, Santhal painting by the Santhal tribe, and Madhubani painting from Bihar.

Officials told that each style shows a unique insight into India’s diverse cultural traditions, making the puzzle both an artistic and educational experience. PM Modi gifted an eco-friendly wooden alphabet set to Mirabel Rose Vance, vice president’s daughter. Designed to be durable, safe, and engaging, it aids in the development of motor skills and cognitive abilities.
Vance called PM Modi gracious and kind following the Indian leader met the former’s family and had a converstion with them following the Paris AI Action Summit in the French capital. “Prime Minister Modi was gracious and kind, and our kids really enjoyed the gifts. I’m grateful to him for the wonderful conversation,” Vance posted on X. Vance’s post came in reply to PM Modi’s earlier post on X, in which the latter recalled the joyous moments as he joined the birthday celebrations of US Vice President’s son Vivek.
“Had a wonderful meeting with US @VP @JDVance and his family. We had a great conversation on various subjects. Delighted to join them in celebrating the joyous birthday of their son, Vivek!” PM Modi wrote on X sharing pictures of him with JD Vance, his wife Usha Vance and their two sons. Vance has three children with Usha- Ewan, Vivek and Mirabel.
Later, the US Vice President’s office released an official statement regarding the two leaders’ meeting in Paris. “Today, Vice President JD Vance met with Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. The two leaders, along with the 2nd Lady of the United States, Usha Vance enjoyed coffee together and discussed topics of mutual interest, including how the United States can assist India in diversifying its energy sources through investments in clean, reliable U.S. nuclear technology,” the statement said.
