New Delhi, 19 February (HS): The domestic stock market is showing a bullish trend during early trade today. Today’s trade started with a fall. As soon as the market opened, buyers started buying, which led to a rise in the stock market. After the first 1 hour of trading, Sensex was trading with a gain of 0.18 percent and Nifty with a gain of 0.25 percent.
After the first 1 hour of trading, among the stock market’s leading stocks, shares of Bharat Electronics, Trent Limited, Tata Steel, IndusInd Bank and Hero MotoCorp were trading with a gain of 2.88 percent to 1.05 percent. On the other hand, shares of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Mahindra & Mahindra, Britannia, Sun Pharmaceuticals and TCS were seen trading with a decline of 2.37 percent to 1.14 percent.
So far, active trading was taking place in 2,460 shares in the stock market. Out of these, 2,083 shares were trading in the green mark by making profits, while 377 shares were trading in the red mark by suffering losses. Similarly, out of the 30 shares included in the Sensex, 17 shares remained in the green mark with the support of buying. On the other hand, 13 shares were trading in the red mark due to selling pressure. While out of the 50 shares included in the Nifty, 30 shares were seen trading in the green mark and 20 shares in the red mark.
The BSE Sensex today opened at 75,787.27 points, down 180.12 points. As soon as the trading started, due to the selling pressure, this index fell to 75,581.38 points, but due to the start of buying after the first 15 minutes of trading, the movement of this index gained momentum. With the support of continuous buying, this index was able to jump to 76,146.64 points around 10 am. After the first 1 hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am, the Sensex was trading at a level of 76,107.83 points with a strength of 140.44 points. Like the Sensex, NSE’s Nifty started trading today with a fall of 98.05 points at the level of 22,847.25 points. As soon as the market opened, due to the selling pressure, this index slipped to 22,814.85 points, but after a while the buyers made a strong buying push. With the support of continuous buying, this index was able to jump to 23,043.05 points. After the initial 1 hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am, Nifty was trading at 23,001.80 points with a gain of 56.50 points.
Earlier on the last trading day on Tuesday, the Sensex closed at 75,967.39 points with a weakness of 29.47 points i.e. 0.04 percent. At the same time, Nifty ended Tuesday’s trading at 22,945.30 points with a decline of 14.20 points i.e. 0.06 percent.
