Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister has attacked INDI leaders like Mamata Banerjee, Akhilesh Yadav, and Lalu Prasad Yadav, accusing them of disrespecting ‘Sanatan Dharma’ and trying to malign the religious ‘Maha Kumbh’ congregation.
A heated debate has occurred over comments naming the Maha Kumbh as ‘Mrityu Kumbh’ and dismissing it as ‘faltu.’ On Wednesday, UP CM Yogi, while addressing the Assembly slammed the opposition for spreading misinformation and stated the festival belongs to the people, not the government. He questioned Mamata’s statement, asking, “Yeh kya statement hai?” and took on Lalu for ridiculing the event.
In an attack, Mamata Banerjee alleged that the Maha Kumbh had turned into “Mrityu Kumbh,” a remark that found support from Akhilesh Yadav. On the other hand, Lalu Prasad Yadav dismissed the event, calling it ‘faltu ka Kumbh.’ On this Yogi retaliated, saying that those who insult Maha Kumbh lack knowledge of Sanatan Dharma and are misleading people. Jaya Bachchan, Samajwadi MP also joined the list when she stated that, Maha has most contaminated water’.
During the Parliament winter session, speaking to media SP MP alleged that Sangam water is most polluted water and that dead bodies are floating in Ganga of who died in Stampede in January. The Chief Minister accused the opposition of opposing the Kumbh from the starting and claimed that leaders who spoke against it had secretly taken a dip in the holy Triveni Sangam. He particularly targeted the Samajwadi Party for its ‘uncivilised’ remarks, stating that such statements hurt the beliefs of crores of people.
