Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat emphasized the need for Panch Parivartan to foster holistic societal progress during a keynote address at South Point School in Barshapara. Addressing thousands of volunteers, he outlined a vision focused on social unity, environmental responsibility, and cultural revival.
Dr. Bhagwat identified five pillars of transformation: social harmony, family values, environmental conservation, Swadeshi practices, and civic responsibility.
He stressed the importance of bridging divisions across communities, castes, faiths, and languages, asserting, “A harmonious society is built on mutual respect. All Hindu temples, water bodies, and cremation grounds must be unified in spirit through mutual cooperation.”
Strengthening Families and Protecting the Environment
Dr. Bhagwat highlighted the role of strong family structures in shaping a righteous society, urging people to prioritize familial bonds and values. On environmental issues, he called for collective responsibility, stating, “Water conservation, reducing plastic dependency, and tree plantation are not optional—they are duties to our future generations.”
He also advocated for Swadeshi principles, encouraging Indians to embrace native languages, attire, and sustainable living. “Our daily choices—from speaking our mother tongue to wearing handlooms—must reflect pride in our heritage,” he said, emphasizing reduced reliance on foreign goods.
Civic Responsibility and Traditional Ethics
While reinforcing the importance of following state laws, Dr. Bhagwat underscored the significance of traditional moral values in shaping a healthy society. “Civic duty isn’t limited to traffic rules or taxes; it’s about upholding ethics that nurture societal health,” he noted.
The event, attended by senior RSS leaders including Dr. Bhupesh Sharma and Guruprasad Medhi, concluded with a collective pledge to promote the Panch Parivartan vision across Assam.
