Rescuers have saved 47 of the 55 labourers trapped under an avalanche that struck a Border Roads Organisation (BRO) camp between Mana and Badrinath early Friday. While 33 were rescued by Friday night, 14 more were pulled from the snow on Saturday as weather conditions improved.
Army and ITBP personnel resumed operations, aided by helicopters. Eight labourers remain missing. Three critically injured workers were airlifted to Jyotirmath Army Hospital. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is expected to visit the site. The trapped workers hail from multiple states, with some identities still unconfirmed.
