In a major leadership shift, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has removed Akash Anand from all party posts. BSP chief Mayawati announced the decision on Sunday, citing concerns over Anand’s political influence from his father-in-law, Ashok Siddharth, who was recently expelled for allegedly creating divisions within the party.
Mayawati emphasized that the move aligns with BSP founder Kanshi Ram’s principles. To strengthen party leadership, BSP has appointed Anand Kumar and Rajya Sabha MP Ramji Gautam as national coordinators.
This marks a strategic restructuring following the party’s recent electoral setbacks.
