On early Wednesday, a 27-year-old Indian student from Telangana’s Ranga Reddy district was shot dead in a suspected robbery when thieves opened fire at a store where he worked part-time in Milwaukee, US.
The victim, identified as Gampa Praveen, was pursuing his master’s degree in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. On Wednesday morning, Praveen’s family was informed by the US authorities that his body had been found with bullet wounds.
According to sources, his father received a WhatsApp call from him at 5 AM but was unable to answer it. His father grew suspicious when Praveen didn’t return the call for a long time and reached out to his son’s friends.
It was then that he was informed Praveen had been shot dead by robbers. US authorities have stated that the exact cause of death will be determined following an autopsy.
