On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the BJP government passed the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana during a Cabinet meeting. The scheme aims to provide Rs 2,500 to women between the age group of 21 and 60 , who earn up to Rs 3 lakh per year.
About Mahila Samriddhi Yojana?
The Mahila Samriddhi Yojana is an ambitious scheme of the BJP government aimed at providing economic support to women. Under this scheme, women will be provided Rs 2,100 assistance by the government.
The government has formulated specific criteria to ensure that only genuinely needy women benefit from the scheme:
. Women with an annual income of less than ₹2.5 lakh will be eligible.
. Women employed in government jobs and those who pay income tax will be excluded.
. Women already receiving any form of government pension will not be eligible.
