In one of the deadliest acts of violence in Syria, over 1,000 people have been killed in just 2 days in the ongoing clashes between ‘Revenge Killers’ and loyalists of former President Bashar al-Assad.
The violence once erupted on Thursday, after a group of gunmen in favour of the present government started ‘revenge killings’ against the Alawite minority section, who are loyal to former President Assad.
For now, the violence has been temporarily on hold, and the government has regained control in the nation. In order to restore stability, authorities have shut all roads leading to the coastal region, which is the epicenter of violence.
