On Thursday evening, an American Airlines aircraft caught fire at Denver International Airport. The blaze occurred on Flight 4012, which was parked at Terminal C.
Passengers were evacuated safely through emergency slides and were seen standing on the wing of the aircraft. A video captured thick flames billowing around the aircraft’s engine, while another video showed flames near the engine, leading to speculations that jet fuel may have caught fire.
Denver International Airport confirmed that the incident occurred at 6:15 PM and said that no injuries have been reported. The airport also confirmed that the fire was quickly extinguished. According to the media sources, the cause of the fire was an engine malfunction.
