In the latest, the United States of America plans to impose Visa restrictions on citizens from 43 countries. An internal memo was received exclusively and reviewed by the news agency Reuters, expressing that the move may impact thousands of students, travellers, and working professionals among many others.
This comes days following a press release statement by the US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on “Visa Restriction Policy Targeting Foreign Officials and Others Facilitating Illegal Migration Into The United States”.
The latest Visa ban on 43 countries is the latest in the series of measures implemented by the Trump administration aimed at curbing illegal immigration into the United States of America and tightening National Security.
This move is consistent with Donald Trump’s commitment to restricting immigration, as evident in his executive orders, like the mass deportation policies. The Visa ban is seen as an extension to these efforts, targeting countries which deemed to pose a security risk.
The Reuters was informed by a US Official, who wish to remain unnamed, that the proposal is still pending for approval from the administration, including Marco Rubio, and may undergo further revision.
