Details of how the Muslim mob targeted the Hindu houses and vehicles in the Nagpur violence case on 17th March have been coming out. As per the local Hindus, Muslim rioters threw Tulsi plant containers installed in Hindu houses.
A local Hindu woman revealed while speaking to Times Now Navbharat that during the Islamist mob violence on 17th March, the jihadis threw ‘Tulsi ki Kundi; which is worshipped by the Hindu.
She further added, “Muslim rioters were telling the local Hindus to go away. When I went to pick up my daughter, they threatened an auto rickshaw driver that if you entered here, we will chop you down”.
While another one told Republic that the rioters were abusing Hindus while vandalizing property. The Hindu woman revealed, “Hindus we will see how you stay here and live here in Nagpur”.
The rioters were mostly teenagers, added the local Hindus. Muslim rioters vandalized the cars and bikes belonged to Hindus and the rioters did not attack Muslim houses or vehicles owned by Muslims.
Many witnesses said that the Muslims, armed with petrol bombs also stone-pelted children, attacking all nearby people and property. They further revealed that the rioters wielded swords, weapons and bottles but concealed their faces.
Near Geetanjali Chowk, two police cars and two cranes employed for the ongoing road construction using petrol bombs, according to ‘The Times of India’. The Muslims shouted anti-Hindu slogans and threw communal insults at Hindu police officers.
Islamist Violence In Nagpur
On the evening of 17th March, Nagpur witnessed violent unrest that left more than 30 people wounded over rumours of the burning of a copy of the Quran. It happened during a protest by Hindu organisations demanding the removal of Aurangzeb’s tomb in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
Muslim Mob Molested A Woman Officer
A Muslim mob misbehaved a woman police officer in the Bhhaladarpura area of Nagpur, Maharashtra. An FIR has been filed against the rioters at Ganeshpeth police station. Curfew is effective in several parts of the city as part of measures to restore peace.
CM Devendra Fadnavis Assures Action
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said while addressing the state assembly on 19th March, “Those who attacked police during the arson in Nagpur will be dug out from their graves. Attacks on police are unpardonable. They will get the strictest punishment. We won’t spare them.”
Nagpur Riots Mastermind Faheem Khan Arrested
Police have identified the mastermind behind the violence that led to widespread communal violence. On Wednesday, the Nagpur police named Faheem Khan as the key accused of the violent clashes that left many injured.
Faheem Khan has been linked to the Minority Democratic Party (MDP) and contested the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from the Nagpur constituency against Union Minister Nitin Gadkari , losing by a margin of over 6.5 lakh votes.
Moreover, 19 accused have been sent to the police custody till 21st March. Mastermind Faheem is accused of gathering more than 500 rioters and instigating violence.
