On Friday, protests occurred in Patna against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar following he was seen talking and laughing during the National Anthem at a public event a day earlier.
The incident has been caught on camera. It has sparked outrage, with the opposition demanding his resignation and questioning his mental health.
The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and other opposition parties have launched protests, calling for Nitish Kumar’s removal from the office.
RJD leader Mukesh Raushan condemned the act, saying, “The CM should apologize for insulting the National Anthem. His mental state is not well. He should be removed from the post, and President’s Rule should be imposed in Bihar. He is unwell and unfit to govern. A case of treason should be filed against him.”
