Speaking at the Akhila Bharathiya Prathinidhi Sabha in Bengaluru, RSS Joint Sarkaryavah CR Mukunda said that the Union minister has clarified that the number of Lok Sabha seats in southern states will remain the same after delimitation.
He stated that the decision on increasing or fixing the number of seats lies with the Union government, and RSS has no role in this matter.
Mukunda dismissed the North-South debate as politically motivated. He said some issues can be addressed by politicians, while others require social leaders to step in.
On the ongoing language debate, Mukunda said RSS believes that the mother tongue should be prioritized in daily life and education. However, he clarified that RSS has not passed any resolution on a two-language or three-language policy.
Addressing the Manipur issue, he said RSS has been concerned about the situation for the past 20 months. While the government is taking political and administrative steps, he noted that it will take time for normalcy to return.
Mukunda also mentioned that as RSS completes 100 years, the organization is focusing on expanding and strengthening its work instead of celebrating.
