A message circulated online called for more demonstrations across Gaza, urging people to speak out against Hamas.
The protests come as the war has devastated Gaza, with over 50,000 deaths reported by the local health ministry. Northern Gaza has been especially hard hit, with aid agencies struggling to deliver food and medical supplies.
The UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) warned that Gaza is facing an acute hunger crisis as no aid has entered for weeks.
