Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced on Tuesday that separatist groups like Hurriyat, Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement, and the Democratic Political Movement have decided to sever all ties with separatism.
Amit Shah called this a “big victory” for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that his government’s policies have successfully removed separatism from Jammu and Kashmir.
Separatism has become history in Kashmir.
The unifying policies of the Modi government have tossed separatism out of J&K. Two organizations associated with the Hurriyat have announced the severing of all ties with separatism.

He urged other groups to follow the same path and support a peaceful and united Bharat.
This announcement comes just days after the Union Home Ministry banned the Mirwaiz Umer Farooq-led Awami Action Committee (ACC) and J&K Ittehadul Muslimeen (JKIM) under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
Shah stated that these organizations were inciting people and threatening the unity of the country.
