An exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists was reported in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district on Friday. The encounter took place in the Suffain area during an anti-terror operation.
Security forces have cordoned off the area, and a search operation is underway. Further details are awaited.
A similar incident was reported on Thursday when terrorists were spotted in the same area.
Earlier, on March 23, security forces conducted an operation in Hiranagar, Kathua, after receiving intelligence inputs about terrorist presence.
