The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Nidhi Tewari, an IFS officer, as the Private Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Nidhi Tewari is an officer from the 2014 batcPM Modi’s Private Secretary:h of the Indian Foreign Services (IFS). Before this appointment, she was working as the Deputy Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). In November 2022, she became the Deputy Secretary at the PMO. Earlier, she worked as an Under Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), handling Disarmament and International Security Affairs.
The official statement confirmed that Nidhi Tewari will serve as PM Modi’s Private Secretary, effective immediately. Her position is at Level 12 of the pay scale, and she will serve until further orders.
